There is also a public sandy beach in Bozburun village, which is located on the other side of the harbor. Daily cruises are very popular allowing you to swim and snorket in the crystal clear waters of the Aegean Sea.
In the village there are several supermarkets, seafood stores, bakery, ATM machines, post office, many restaurants and shops, pharmacy and etc. The harbor has several yacht agencies, customs office and port authority, giving port-of-entry service for the many yachts that are visiting Bozburun. There is a frequent bus service stopping by a number of small villages on the way to Marmaris.
the home is eco-friendly, using sustainable energy and environment-friendly solutions. It has solar heated water and solar electric systems powering the garden lights, terrace lights and the pool system. In case of a power outage, the entire house will automatically switch to the solar power backup system. The house has a connection to the mains water system, the grey water runs into a soil-infiltrating system in the garden. The roomy bathroom has a toilet, shower and a washing machine. The toilet uses a Swedish - designed system (with a large ventilated long-term composting tank under the house) which doesn’t use water and never smells -not even while using it. The house has an open layout with integrated lounge/kitchen and sliding doors and windows facing the large terrace towards the sea. The large bedroom with door/window towards the terrace has one large bed. The small bedroom has a bunk bed, the lower bed being slightly larger. The large angled sofa in the lounge can be turned into a double bed. In total the house sleeps 6 persons, but 4 is recommended for convenience (only one toilet/bathroom). The kitchen has a fridge with a small freezer and a combined gas/electric stove. There is an oven, a microwave oven and all the utensils you might need. Drinking water can be fetched at the nearby mountain source (very good and for free) or purchased in any shop.
The wooden terrace with a bamboo roof covers the full length of the house (11 meters) facing the sea, the bay and the sun-set.
The south side garden has a patio with a textile roof and a dinner table for 6-8 persons and a BBQ in the stone wall. At the far end of the garden there is a water well and a shower. The north side garden has a small pool (3 m diameter) with a large wooden sun deck area (partly shaded) with sunbeds, some furniture and shower. The pool has an eco-friendly cleaning system (copper ionization) which is un-harmful to your hair, clothes and eyes, unlike an ordinary chlorinated pool. There is only a small amount of chlorine in our pool.
The house has no air conditioning system but the Meltemi wind coming directly from the open sea, passes through the windows during the day. In the evening the mountain wind makes a cool breeze in the opposite direction. There are ceiling fans and floor-standing fans that can be used during the night hours, if required.
